Maple Whipped Shortbread
Share
Our favourite whipped shortbread recipe came from an old family friend. It is so soft, it melts in your mouth! Around five years ago, Leann entered the cookie in the annual Cookie Competition at her work. She modified it by replacing the icing sugar with granulated maple sugar. The Golden Spoon she won that year sits proudly on her kitchen shelf!
1 cup butter (room temperature)
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup granulated maple sugar
.
Combine all ingredients and beat for ten minutes. Drop teaspoons of batter onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes (or until bottoms are lightly browned)
Top with maple butter for an extra maple treat!
